The Estate 

Gisburne Park is one of Lancashire's finest private estates. A thousand acres of picturesque Ribble Valley countryside, owned and managed by Guy Hindley and family. Nestled within the Grade 1 listed estate is our gorgeous glamping village, Ribblesdale Park, the famous Hindelinis Restaurant and Bar, and our magical wedding venue.

The Estate 

ON

WILDLIFE

 

The estate is proud to host a wide range of wildlife including rare Sika deer, otters, kingfishers, badgers, and all sorts of birdlife. The estates philosophy of one of conservation and re-wilding where its possible while integrating with our holiday makers and our agricultural requirements.

HORSE RIDING

 

The estate has a rich history within the equestrian world. Today there is a 10 stables livery yard and a 7 furlong all weather gallops. Feel free to bring your horse on holiday and they will be looked after overnight. The famous Pennine Bridal way weaves its way through the estate. 

WALKS

 

The Ribble Way passes through the estate allowing guests to walk for miles along the River Ribble. There is a 1 mile loop around the grade 1 park. 

POOL

Enjoy an afternoon lounging by our heated outdoor pool which is hidden away in the walled gardens of the mansion house. *subject to covid rules

HINDELINIS

 

Wander to our gorgeous on site restaurant and enjoy our famous all day breakfast or better still lie in bed and have it delivered to your belle tent.

The Estate 

GISBURN FOREST

 

The best place for mountain biking in the north of england. 10 miles away. Cycle network of 16 km throughout the largest forest in lancashire.

15min Drive

malham

 

Malham is a small village in the Pennines at the southern base of the Yorkshire Dales. The main attractions are the stunning scenery of Malham Cove and Gordale Scar both of which are within walking distance from the village.

WHITE SCAR CAVES

 

White Scar Caves – an underground world including the UKs largest cave. The Waterfalls Walk – woodland gorges and waterfalls. Ingleborough – walk one of the famous 3 peaks (2372 feet). The Settle – Carlisle Railway.

Hurst Green

 

It is this landscape that provided inspiration for J.R.R Tolkien's ‘Lord of the Rings” A 5.5mil route around the village or hurst green traces his footsteps in what is a blueprint for his Middle Earth map. Look out for Stonyhurst College.

PEndle Hill

 

One of the areas unmistakable landmarks at this time of your the crisp mornings can reveal some of the most beautiful views of the Ribble Valley. The hill is probably better know for connection to the legend of the Lancashire witches.

Downham

 

Picture postcard villages surround us but Downham and Bolton by Bowland host great pubs and are often used as a backdrop for movies and dramas. They form a large part of the Ribble Valley, is one of the largest areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
